Welcome to Week 9 March 28, 2021 Hello everyone,  I hope you've had a wonderful weekend.  Last week involved so many exciting events, which our students thoroughly enjoyed. Our swimming sports last Monday was a huge success. It was so great to hear about everyone getting involved and having fun. Thank you to our parent helpers for your support, we couldn't do events like this without you. Also, thank you for encouraging your children to participate in Rice Day. I look forward to hearing how these events went. If your child was involved, please email any photos for me to share with the rest of the class.  The children's spelling words are on a slideshow under the spelling tab on the Kahikatea Site. They are based around the sounds they are curr

Every week 4 Middle School children have been going to Ohinemutu to check the catfish nets that have been set in the lake there. We have not caught any catfish yet this year, which is a positive for the lake. We count and return the bycatch, which is usually cockabullies, mosquito fish and goldfish. We have also caught the occasional koura and eel.
