Seniors sharing their learning with us December 08, 2021 Yesterday we spent the afternoon looking at the projects that Rooms 1 and 2 have been doing this term. We spent time doing activities, listening to presentations, playing games they created and being an audience. Here are some photos of the projects.
The children returned from 3 weeks of covid-19 lockdown quite happy and settled and ready for school life and learning again. On the first couple of days, they chose a wide variety of activities in which to participate. Here are a couple of videos.
On Friday afternoon we had whole school tabloid sports around the school to celebrate Mary MacKillop Day. Room 16 children got a taste of some of the activities including racquetball, cat and mouse, the 3-legged race and the wheelbarrow race.
Children from Rooms 12, 14 and 15 are now experiencing catfish netting at Ohinemutu. Last week we caught and released a young Brown Trout, several smelt and some cockabullies.
Our new play equipment has arrived and we have begun to set up the structure of our learning programme for our Year 3s in Rooms 16 and 17. The children have had a ball using all the new play materials. They will be called out for learning groups while they play.
