We’ve been back at school for two days and things have seemed to go quite smoothly. Thank you all for helping us make the transition back to school. Children seemed to be very excited with their return to school and back to some normality for them. Just a quick reminder that children are to take all rubbish home in their lunches and that Chromebooks need to be charged.



The children have been good with hand sanitizing and the washing down of surfaces.

This week is Maori Language Week: "Kia kaha te Reo Māori" - Make the Māori language

strong. We will be doing some fun activities around the Maori language. 


The Virtual Assembly for this week if you didn't see it is here. 

Remember all large gatherings at school or in the church are no longer taking place due to covid-19 alert level 2 protocols. We ask parents not to come into classrooms and if you need to enter the school for administration purposes please sign in using the tracer app or manually and wear a mask. Thank you for your understanding.

Our library is on Thursday please remind your child to bring back their books.

Friday is ‘Wig Day’ please bring a wig and a gold coin donation all proceeds go towards Kids Cancer.

If your child is interested in any sport please enrol them to ensure they get on a team.

  Bonjour to all Parents and Caregivers, Firstly we would like to thank all parents and caregivers for the wonderful work they have been doing with homeschooling their children during the level 4 covid-19 lockdown. We hope you have had no problems accessing the learning on the Middle School Kahikatea site. Remember that all the information regarding home learning can be found on the class blog from either this week or last week. If you have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to contact me. We realise that many parents will be working from home and that time to help children with their learning may be limited.   Week 8 - Term 4 - 2021   Weekly Notices, Week 8 Term 4    December 5th, 2021   Kia Ora, Christmas music is playing and the decorations are up, Christmas is only 20 days away which also means that our school year is just about complete. This is the last full week of school and there are a lot of activities. Please remember children's $2 koha tomorrow for our fish and chips lunch. Library books are to come back to school this week if you still have some at home, please. We are publishing a school magazine again this year, and this will be available during the last week of this term. At this stage, there are only to be 100 magazines printed. It will be a great memento of 2021. Orders are being taken now with the cost for the magazine being $10.00. Kahikatea's Big Day In Monday 6th December is our Kahikatea Big Day In.
