Shared Morning Tea Thursday

 Rooms 16 and 17 will be having a Shared Morning Tea on Thursday to farewell Deklyn, who is leaving us to go to Wanganui with his family, and also to celebrate a great first term of learning in Middle School. If it is possible, could every child please bring along a small item of food to share on Thursday, remembering that this is a shared morning tea, not a shared lunch. Thank you in advance.

  Kia Orana ( MAY YOU LIVE A LONG AND FULFILLING LIFE) It is  Cook Island Language Week  this week.  O ur Pasifika group have given us a class challenge -  to learn a prayer they gave us and then to stand up and say it in front of the school at singing time on Thursday before we go out to lunch. 3-way conferences Three Way Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday 3rd August from 3.10 to 6.00 pm and Wednesday 4th August 3.10 - 6.00 pm. You need to go to  www.schoolinterviews.co.nz  and enter the event code aemzc. The time allowed for each conference is 10 minutes. Please be considerate of the teacher (who needs to keep to the appointment schedule) and other parents who have made bookings. If you feel you need more time for discussion, please organise another time to meet with the teacher. Weekly Notices, Term 2, Week 10

  Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),  I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.  We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practised Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school.
