Week 9 Notices-                     September 19, 2021     Tena Koutou everyone and welcome to our second to last week of school. Our first full week at school was spent with activities celebrating Maori Language week and learning through play. It is so good to see the kids giving it a try and taking part in the different activities and being creative.  As we are still at Level 2 we are still encouraging that our kids sanitize before they come into class. Please ensure they bring in a drink bottle as water fountains are still out of bounds. Thank you very much for your support in this. Last Friday, some kids came with some fabulous wigs to wear for the day. The school managed to fundraise $580 to go towards the Cancer Society. What a fabulous effort. Thank you all for helping us make the transition back to school. Children seemed to be very excited with their return to school and back to some normality for them. It's hard to believe that almost three weeks ago we went into lockdown.  A big thank you to all of our families for the support you are giving your children with their Home Learning Programmes during this time.  It has been a big learning curve for many of us and certainly a time of building resilience.  I feel so blessed to work in such a supportive and caring community. The Prime Minister announces late Monday afternoon what the next plan is.  Fingers crossed we move to Level 2 soon. This week we will continue with the Home Learning online. We have our daily meetings on Google Meet at 10am. The children and us teachers have been enjoying connecting and doing some fun activities. For Room 16's meeting tomorrow I have a general knowledge kids Kahoo...

Bonjour to all Parents and Caregivers, Firstly we would like to thank all parents and caregivers for the wonderful work they have been doing with homeschooling their children during the level 4 covid-19 lockdown. We hope you have had no problems accessing the learning on the Middle School Kahikatea site. Remember that all the information regarding home learning can be found on the class blog from either this week or last week. If you have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to contact me. We realise that many parents will be working from home and that time to help children with their learning may be limited. The learning posted on the site is intended to be independent work for the children as much as possible. Please encourage your child to do as much work as is feasible given the lockdown realities in your household bubble. You will be well aware now that we will be moving from Alert Level 4 to 3 and this takes effect from midnight on Tuesday 31st August. The school is pr...
